I decided i needed to practice more of two tier cake when i get the chance. A lady in church invited me for her birthday and i thought this will be a perfect opportunity to flex muscles. Although this is my second attempt of a two tier cake, i see some improvement compared to the first attempt.
The top tier is vanilla cake with petal buttercream design.
The buttom is chocolate cake with rosette buttercream design.
I was happy at the final result but not there yet.
I am big lover of peanut, I grew up calling it groundnut which I sometimes do. I could finish a cup or more at one sitting and feel guilty later. Because I am on a low carb diet, I don’t eat it every day but tend to eat it as a treat.
I just found this simple recipe @thedomesticgeek that requires only 4 ingredients I’d thought I give it a try. I made a little twist to her original recipe by substituting the 1/2 cup coconut sugar to 2 tbsp. of light brown sugar. It came out real good, crunchy and tasty.
Although this is my first time of trying the petal design, I am glad it turn out well. The initial plan was to make a spider man face but did not turn out as expected so I resulted to trying this instead to save time. I am not a professional baker, I just love to bake and try new things.

This cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting and fresh fruit topping. Chocolate cake is one of my favorite cakes, though I don’t eat often but when I do, I eat until I am satisfied. This cake is simple and easy to make, and it’s so tasting.

This cake was a last minute decision for a baby shower I was invited to. Underneath this blue/pink rosette decoration, were 2 layers of chocolate cake and 1 layer of vanilla cake covered with buttercream icing.
